Join the National Gallery of Art's Chief of Conservation, Lena Stringari, for a very special talk about the process and practice of maintaining masterworks, such as those by Auguste Renoir, Henri Matisse, and Paul Cézanne, which are on view now in Verdant, thanks to a long-term loan from the National Gallery. Lena Stringari heads six conservation departments, a scientific research department, and an administrative office -- all in the effort to preserve the National Gallery’s growing collection, currently comprising some 160,000 objects, sustainably and in service of the nation.
This talk is free to attend, but reservations are required.
