There’s something incredibly special about recording the voices and stories of our loved ones. In this class, you’ll learn techniques to make audio recordings, from Kyle Norris a public radio reporter with over 20 years of experience.
Learn basic interviewing skills inspired by NPR’s StoryCorps project to ask questions that will lead to emotional, specific, and compelling answers. Explore the equipment you can use to make audio recordings from budget-friendly options to more expensive devices like digital audio recorders and high-quality microphones. Finally, learn how to store your interviews and share them with others using free editing software.
